I was originally looking for something to help my incontinent, 15 year old Weimaraner stay dry in her crate. We use a puppy pad under the mat and it has been a wonderful solution. I bought a mat for both of my large hunting dogs. The mats are so easy to clean (and we clean them often!), the dogs dry faster after hunts and the old girl stays dry despite her condition. I'm buying another set for the puppies we've gotten this year. I waited until they were fully crate trained to avoid any chewing/digging damage. Cannot be happier. Wish I new about this product years ago.
